Degrees
Aalto University offers programmes leading to first-cycle (bachelor’s degree) 180 ECTS credits and second-cycle (master’s degree) 120 ECTS credits.
When an applicant applies for a study right in a bachelor’s degree programme, after the admission and the acceptance of a study place, he or she also gains a right to complete a master's degree.
Master’s degree programmes have their own application processes, in which an applicant meeting the eligibility requirements may apply for a study right in a master’s degree programme of his or her choice.

Business and Economics
Aalto University School of Business has two campuses: one in Helsinki, Finland and one in Mikkeli, Finland.
The Mikkeli Campus offers an intensive Bachelor´s programme in English in the field of International Business. Students accepted to the programme will get a study right to the Master of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration, so after graduating from Mikkeli, the student has an automatic study right to continue their studies in one of the Master’s Programmes at the Helsinki Campus.Students are selected to the BScBA programme in different admission groups based on:
- their high school diploma (Finnish Matriculation Examination Certificate, European Baccalaureate Diploma, International Baccalaureate Diploma or Reifeprüfung Diploma), or
- the SAT test scores, or
- credits earned in an Open University.

The languages of teaching and degrees at the Aalto University School of Business are Finnish and English.The languages of teaching and degrees at the Aalto University School of Engineering, the Aalto University School of Chemical Technology, the Aalto University School of Science, the Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering, and the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture are Finnish, Swedish and English.
All international students applying for master or bachelor studies offered in English must demonstrate their proficiency in English. Applicants are required to attach an official language test report to their application. The recognised language tests and their minimum score requirements are listed below.

The minimum requirements are very strict. If your score does not fulfil the minimum requirements, you are not eligible to apply and your application cannot be processed. Only the above-mentioned language tests are accepted.

How to apply
Applying to Aalto University’s master’s programmes is done via Aalto University's application system. Admissions are organised once a year. The application period for studies starting in autumn 2017 will be organised 1 December 2016 at 9am (GMT +2:00) - 15 January 2017 at 3pm (GMT +2:00).
Application Deadlines
April 30: you can apply for Admission in next academic year or for one semester either spring or autumn.On October 15, admission for spring semester can be applied. However the admission process for Master in Engineering & Technology is started from December and January every year. But students must think of admission deadlines well before the targeted semester as there are different Schools with their own study programs.
Tuition fees
According to the decision made by the President of Aalto University, the tuition fee is €12 000 per academic year for the International Business BSc and BA degree programme and €15 000 for degree programmes leading to a master’s degree.Living and other expenses will also be incurred by the students.
Applicants to Finnish higher education institutions (polytechnics/universities of applied sciences (UAS) and universities) who are applying based on a degree completed outside the EU/EEA area or Switzerlandwill be required to pay electronically an application fee of 100 € before sending the application non refundable.
Scholarships
At Aalto University, the scholarship is granted in the form of a tuition fee waiver. The decisions on the scholarships are made on the basis of the academic merits of the students selected to study the programmes.Students are expected to cover all living expenses (app. EUR 800 per month) and other study related costs from their own financial resources.
